KoelenRust Estate is a Guest Farm set in a lush garden amongst big trees.

The peace and tranquillity will take you far from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The 8,5 hectare Estate is bordering the Cradle of Humankind, a World Heritage site in the Muldersdrift area and is only 30 minutes drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Lanseria International Airport is only 10 minutes drive away.

Whether you relax in the Lapa next to the pool, have a braai in the Boma, reading a book, enjoy a movie on the TV, or go for a walk to enjoy nature and its abundant birdlife, KoelenRust Estate is the place to unwind.

As the area is known as the Mecca for weddings, this is the ideal overnight place for guests attending a wedding in the area.

The Lodge is ideal for small company break away workshops.

ACCOMMODATION KoelenRust Estate consists of thatch roof cottages and garden rooms.

Each unit is fully equipped for self-catering and has a private entrance which opens up into the garden (altogether 12 bedrooms).

•The Pomegranate is a studio room thatch roof cottage with an en-suite shower room and fully equipped kitchen (double bed).

•The Blue Rain is a thatch roof cottage that consists of two bedrooms (double beds) with en-suite bathroom each, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge to share.

•8 x Garden rooms - Each room opens up into the garden and consists of a large sleeping area with twin beds, en-suite shower room and a small kitchen corner.

•The Ginkgo Biloba is a luxury room upstairs in the Main House, ideal for a company executive, bride-to-be or bridal couple.

It comprises of a large bedroom (queen size bed) with en-suite bathroom and separate shower.

It has its own private patio overlooking the garden (no kitchen facilities).

FOOD Rates for accommodation include breakfast but all the units are fully equipped for self-catering as well.

Scrumptious meals can be served in the restaurant, under the trees or in the Lapa, on request.

FUNCTIONS and SEMINARS The conference room, situated in the garden, is the perfect get-away from the office environment and hustle and bustle of city life.

It is ideal for small company workshops for up to 24 overnight delegates or 50 day delegates.The Estate is ideal for small day functions such as garden weddings, a company braai and birthday parties in the Boma or Lapa next to the pool.

ATTRACTIONS IN THE AREA There are a variety of exciting places in the area.

The Cradle of Humankind, including the Maropeng Centre, is only 2 kilometres from the Estate.

For those who want to visit the Crocodile Ramble, there is a choice of interesting places, such as the Hartbeespoortdam, Sterkfontein- and Wonder Caves, Game Reserves with game drives, a Cultural Village, an old Gold Mine, trout farms, horse trails, hiking trails, hot air balloons, art galleries, arts & crafts shops and many more.
